OK, I'll tell you. It was a female. She actually didn't respond to that question. And I didn't push the issue given the circumstances. :-)

True, I was being mean to her, but that's only because I thought she was playing games--which she was. I inetntionally wanted to end things on a bad note.

The funny thing is that I grew up in LA (though I haven't lived there since 2005), but I haven't dipped my toes in the hamvatan pool much.... 

It's strange. I'm in the tri-State area, so there are a lot of Iranians, especially in NYC, where I work. I really don't hang out in the "Iranian community" too much. But I used to hit it off with Iranian females quite well when I came across them. Not so much recently, but there was a period that the whole thing happened quite a bit. A couple of them told me they liked me because I was Iranian, but didn't "act too Iranian." Kind of odd, because they were kind of recent arrivals out of Iran.   

Interestingly enough, one of "my" 2 Iranian girls was also in the tri-state area the year I did my internship in NYC. I too have occasionally heard comments somewhat similar to the ones you mention from other Iranians.

Funny - I actually took an Iranian date with me once to the woods when we were tracking black bears. Nothing "kinky" happened then though. There were a whole lot of people there, state Dept. of Environment Conservation officers, etc. But she had fun. She thought I was awesome chasing after bears! :-))

Now that I'm talking about it, miss the company of an Iranian woman. It's been a while, and nothing really compares. And trust me, I'm pretty "international" when it comes to that stuff. There's something about Iranian women. Perhaps it's the connection....anyway, I need to get back into that game.
