PAAIA:

Washington, DC — The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) recently launched its Diplomacy First campaign to advocate against a costly and unnecessary war with Iran. The campaign uses targeted ads, media outreach, and direct engagement with members of Congress to advance the message of U.S. diplomacy in the Middle East.

“PAAIA’s Diplomacy First campaign urges the countries to pursue all diplomatic options to resolve the crisis,” explains PAAIA’s Executive Director Dr. Leila Austin, Ph.D. “A military conflict with Iran risks the lives of thousands of American soldiers and countless innocent civilians in the region. We believe U.S. interests are best served by prioritizing diplomacy and supporting the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people.”

While the U.S. and Iran state they do not want war, tensions continue to escalate as actions and rhetoric become increasingly hostile and bellicose. It’s imperative that we put diplomacy first.
